Swedish producer Helena Danielsson awarded Prix Eurimages

Swedish producer Helena Danielsson has been awarded this year’s European co-production award – Prix Eurimages. The award, a statuette, will be presented during the European Film Awards Ceremony in Malta on Saturday 1 December 2012.
– I’m so tremendously proud and surprised. It’s a great honour for me to receive this award, and also an invaluable affirmation for the philosophy and passion for international co-productions which are the guiding lights in my life as a producer. My love of film and this award give me further energy to continue developing new projects alongside the amazing talent that’s out there in Europe, says Helena Danielsson.
After a 15-year career in the Scandinavian and European film industry, Helena Danielsson established Hepp Film in 2003. The company’s core activity is to develop and realise feature films, TV dramas and documentaries in international co-productions with award-winning European talent.
Among Danielsson’s films are Clive Gordon’s Cargo, Jörgen Bergmark’s A Rational Solution (Det enda rationella) which ran in competition at the Venice Critics’ Week 2009, the feature documentarySmiling in a Warzone by Simone Aaberg Kærn and Magnus Bejmar, which was nominated for an international Emmy Award in 2007, and Venice 2010 Critics’ Week winner Beyond (Svinalängorna) byPernilla August. She also produced Neon Flesh by Paco Cabezas and White White World by Oleg Novkovic
Helena Danielsson continues to work with Hepp Film and also joined the company Tre Vänner Produktion AB which produced Daniél Espinosa’s Easy Money (Snabba Cash), winner of three Swedish Guldbagge awards.
