Best Documentary – The Face of True

MY NAME IS SALT/My Name Is Salt, documentary 2013, India/Switzerland 58’

Motivering : En klassisk dokumentärfilm som på ett lågmält sätt skildrar enkla människors slit för att framställa något vi alla behöver.

 

Bästa kortfilm:

Best short film – The Space of True

ISAAC/Isaac, short film 2013, Italy, 15’

Motivering : Lysande liten film om hur allvaret i ett barns lek kan attrahera vuxenvärlden.

 

Speciellt pris (dokumentär):

ON THE BRIDE SIDE/Io sto con la sposa, documentary 2014, Italy/Palestine 98’

Motivering : En vacker och klok film och en nära skildring av ett aktuellt ämne.

 

Speciellt pris (kortfilm):

MOUSSE/Mousse, short film 2013, Sweden 41’

Motivering : En lätt och humoristisk story som belönas för sitt lysande filmiska hantverk, sin estetiska skärpa och ett drivet filmspråk.

 

Speciellt pris : Debutfilm

IN BETWEEN / Između rijeke i ljudi, documentary 2014, Montenegro, 61′

Motivering : En engagerad och modigt framställd miljöfilm från en debutant.

 

Hedersomnämnande går till två historiska dokumentärfilmer:

 1)      SOUVENIR/Suvenir, documentary (retrospective) 1998, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Republika Srpska, 19’

Motivering : En både allvarlig och komisk film. Ett dokument om det absurda som inträffat i vår samtid.

2)      BARON VRANGEL/Baron Vrangel, documentary 2013, Serbia 53’

Motivering : En film som visar att tidigare händelser i Europas historia påverkar oss även idag.

 

Alldeles särskilt omnämnande:

THE COVER STORY/Naslovnica, documentary 2014, Croatia, 55′

Motivering : Ett vackert och modernt porträtt av en tragiskt omkommen stjärna.

 

Förutom juryns priser ger festivalen en special mention till filmen

THE CHILDREN/Djeca, documenatry 2015, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Republika Srpska, 82’

Motivation: The documentary portrait of primordial motherhood/parenthood strength and infinite love to their children, which goes in line with Festival essence.

Motivation: A classic documentary that subtely portrays people struggle to produce something we all need.

 

 

Best short film – The Space of True

ISAAC/Isaac, short film 2013, Italy, 15’

Motivation: Brilliant delicate film about how the gravity of a child’s game can pull in the adult world.

 

Special price (documentary):

ON THE BRIDE SIDE/Io sto con la sposa, documentary 2014, Italy/Palestine 98’

Motivation: A beautiful and clever film, with a close depiction of a current issue.

 

Special price (short):

MOUSSE/Mousse, short film 2013, Sweden 41’

Motivation: A light and humorous film, heralded for its brilliant cinematic craft, aesthetic sure-handedness and an adept film language.

 

 

Special price – Debut Film

IN BETWEEN / Između rijeke i ljudi, documentary 2014, Montenegro, 61′

Motivation: A dedicated and courageously produced environmental movie from a first-time filmmaker.

Honorable mention goes to two historical documentaries:

 

1) SOUVENIR/Suvenir, documentary (retrospective) 1998, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Republika Srpska, 19’

Motivation: A both serious and comic film, documenting the absurdity of our contemporary reality.

 

2) BARON VRANGEL/Baron Vrangel, documentary 2013, Serbia 53’

Motivation: A film that shows how forgotten chapters in European history still affect us today.

 

Special remark:

THE COVER STORY/Naslovnica, documentary 2014, Croatia, 55′

Motivation: A beautiful contemporary portrait of a tragic destiny of the celebrity actress.

 

In addition to the jury’s prices the Festival gives a Special mention to the film

THE CHILDREN/Djeca, documenatry 2015, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Republika Srpska, 82’

Motivation: The documentary portrait of primordial motherhood/parenthood strength and infinite love to their children, which goes in line with Festival essence.
